A group of Cambridge mathematicians has discovered what all of us have known for quite some time — that Jessica Alba has the world’s sexiest wiggle.

I’m not joking. This was an actual study carried out by real Cambridge academics — and it wasn’t some office opinion poll, either. The mathaletes figured out that the wiggle in a woman’s walk is determined by the ratio between her hips and waist. Apparently when you divide your waist measurement by your hip measurement, you’re looking for ratio as close to 0.7 as possible (this will produce the most angular — and therefore the most alluring — swagger).

So, a woman — like Jessica Alba — with a 25in waist and 36in hips would the ideal shape to pull off a sultry swing as she walks.

Of all the academic studies that take place every year, this is clearly one of the most important.
