This is one of the funniest videos I’ve seen all week, second only to the video of Miss Teen and her educational policy. It’s Andy Dick outside of a nightclub, confronting a TMZ photographer.
It’s not funny in one way, because Dick is obviously, um, a little out of it. But the funny parts are 1. Dick is wearing a dress shirt, tie, and shorts, and 2. Dick’s “attack” is rather lighthearted, even if he does shove the camera (the cameraman jokes with Dick throughout the entire thing and gets off some funny lines). A random woman on the street shouts encouragement to Andy too.
The best part is he chases the TMZ guy a couple of blocks, and as an added bonus we get an accidental tour of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Other than our occasional snarky remarks about Joey . . . okay, my occasional snarky remarks about Joey . . . we haven’t heard too much from Matt LeBlanc lately. Well, he’s back in the news, but not for good reasons.
According to a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court LeBlanc’s former business manager, Camille Cerio, is suing the former Friends star for back pay of one million dollars. Cerio, who claims she was LeBlanc’s manager back in 1994, says the actor signed a letter approving payment of 15 percent of his earnings from “pilot and series derived from Friends Like Us (the name of the Friends’ pilot) and subsequent jobs derived henceforth”. In normal English this means she should’ve been paid for LeBlanc’s roles on Friends as well as Joey.

What would you do if you were Katie Couric and the first anniversary of your stint as anchor of the CBS Evening News was fast approaching? Would you have a big party to celebrate, get drunk, and dance wildly in your underwear in the middle of Fifth Avenue in New York City? Or, would you suit up in some body armor and report from Iraq?
Personally, I’d frolic in my underwear. Katie is forgoing that frivolity and going to Iraq.
Next Tuesday and Wednesday Couric will be anchoring the news from Baghdad, which will be her first time in the war zone.

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has agreed to meet her estranged father Michael in the rehabilitation centre where she is seeking counselling.
The “Georgia Rule” star, who is at a Utah clinic, has given the green light for a visit from her father with her mom Dina allegedly lifting a restraining order, which was placed on her ex-husband Michael earlier this year.
Imdb.com quoted a source as saying: “It was actually her (Lindsay’s) younger brother, Michael’s, idea. It’s a part of the healing process. Lindsay will see him later this week, but she will have counsellors with her. It will not be alone. Dina thinks it is a good idea. Lindsay needs to deal with this.”
A spokesperson for Dina and Lindsay confirmed the news saying: “Yes, he will be seeing his daughter.”

What happens when you take Nick Cage’s geeky sidekick and mash him up with a French actress, a hockey player-turned-model and a hobbit? You get a new bilingual, indie, romantic comedy called Shoe at Your Foot. The feature stars Justin Bartha (National Treasure), Melanie Laurent (Days of Glory), Jessica Paré (Stardom) and Billy Boyd (Lord of the Rings). According to The Hollywood Reporter, this will be the first feature for writer/director Jennifer Devoldere, and the English/French comedy has already started filming in Paris, which will be followed up with a week of production in Montreal.
Shoe is about an American guy named Jack (Bartha) who wins a vacation for two to Paris. However, his girlfriend (Paré) dumps him right before they’re set to leave. Jack’s Scottish best friend (Boyd) convinces him to go alone. He takes the advice, but finds further troubles as his luggage was swapped with a French businesswoman named Chloe (Laurent). One would think it would be as simple as the pair falling for each other as they meet and exchange belongings, but it is a bit more quirky than that. On one side, there’s Jack, who can’t speak French and is stuck in his hotel with no money or clothes. On the other, there is Chloe, who “falls in love with his belongings (including his shoes) and, feeling fate has brought them together, sets out on a search to find him.” I wonder if this will be followed in a few years by Shoe to the Head, a sequel that covers their romance as they realize that weird shoe fetishes don’t make for healthy relationships.

So I’m usually not one to get all worked up about a remake/sequel of a favorite film. (lord knows it happens often enough) You just sort of get used to it. However I have yet to work up that Zen attitude for the straight-to-DVD sequel to The Lost Boys, which looks like it’ll go by the title Lost Boys 2: The Tribe. Let’s just say I have a bad feeling about the whole thing. Moviehole.net is reporting that sources have confirmed that Warner Premiere (the direct-to-DVD production arm of Warner Bros.) has already started casting their teen bloodsuckers. According to Moviehole’s sources; Angus Sutherland — Keifer’s half-brother, will be joined by, Kyle Cassie (Devour), Shaun Sipos (The Grudge 2) and Merwin Mondesir (Godsend) as fellow ‘Lost Boys’.
This time the story focuses on another pair of siblings who move to Trinidad, California (What? No Santa Carla?) and are targeted by the vampire gang. This time it’s not about motorcycles, it’s all about the surfboards — that’s right, vampire surfers. Back in January, Scott confirmed that not only was a sequel in the works, but that already it had been pegged for the straight to video market — which is never a good sign. Then just last June Monika gave us the news that Autumn Reeser (best known as Taylor on The OC) had been hired to play the new girl in town who is seduced by the vampire surfers. Since then it has been reported that living cautionary tales for child stars everywhere Corey Feldman and Corey Haim would be returning to reprise their roles from the first film. (Although Haim’s involvement is still up for debate due to some pesky immigration issues.) So I might be biased when I say that with an expanding C-list cast and a ridiculous plot even for a vampire movie … as much as I love the original, it’s probably for the best that this flick is going straight to the DVD bin.

In a pretty accurate fit of casting, Exodus Film Group has picked burly actor John Goodman to be Paul Bunyan in an upcoming movie. Unfortunately, I don’t know if you’ll be seeing him in a full beard, clad-in-plaid and carrying an ax. The family film, called Bunyan & Babe, will be CG and live action, and as you see to the right, a poster was whipped up pre-Goodman, so it looks like both folk heroes will be CG. (This is further strengthened by The Hollywood Reporter following this casting news with mention of his voicing stints on flicks like Monsters Inc. and Cars.) For his sidekick Babe the Blue Ox, they’ve already cast…Eddie Griffin, which is an interesting choice. The premise of this re-telling: Babe has been taken by “a demented circus owner” and Bunyan teams up with “two adventurous kids” to free his friend.
The script has had a few pens on it so far — the first take was written by writer/director of This is Not a Film, Michael Nickles and Julia Wall, who was producer on Film. Now some rewriting done by the scribes of Flushed Away, Ian La Frenais and Dick Clement. As for director, that’ll be first-time helmer Jim Rygiel, whose special effects work on Lord of the Rings earned him three Oscars. To top things off, Basil Poledouris wrote the film’s theme before he passed away last year.

How do you make friends when you move to a new place? Personally, I like to tell everyone I meet that my old friends were more stylish. I think people find it really endearing.
Or not. Surprisingly, that’s the way Posh Spice has chosen to befriend the women of Los Angeles, the city she recently adopted with her husband David Beckham. In recent interview, she not only said that Brits dress better than Americans, but also that “the UK has the most stylish women in the world.”
Um…has she ever been to New York? Never mind Tokyo, Paris, Milan, Berlin, Stockholm and all the other world-class cities that routinely make waves on the international scene? I used to live in the UK, and let me tell you, Posh is either confused, or just lying. There’s plenty of fashionable women, by there’s no way it’s ‘the most stylish country in the world” — not by the long shot.

Just what you’ve always wanted! Now you can smell like your favorite pop diva with M, the new fragrance from Mariah Carey.
As an added bonus, she got naked for the ads — just like she did for that less-than-alluring magazine cover last week. Can this woman not keep her clothes on? Although, it is worth noting that she looks about 20-years-old in this photo, no doubt due to the same magical Photoshop wizards that made Britney Spears look half-way decent in the press photos for her latest fragrance.
I have no idea what the new perfume smells like, and I won’t be purchasing it to find out, but according to Elizabeth Arden (the manufacturer), the fragrance “translates the beauty of her musical notes into a fragrance that embodies her warmth, sensuality and glamour.”
So if that’s your thing, you can buy your own bottle of M here.

Thin is in.
But it’s a shame dieting can be so boring and exercise, for the most part, is such a chore. However, fashion fan and skinny girl, Jessica Alba might have found a way around the boredom. Alba, who apparently shuns diets and personal trainers, has taken up a Nintendo Wii workout.
Nintendo Wii is the must-have video game console that works up a sweat. (Yep, a gaming system that isn’t associated with sitting on your behind wasting the day away.) Nintendo Wii isn’t just for dudes either. With Wii tennis and Wii boxing you can burn about 560 calories per hour. Nintendo is even coming out with a new game called Wii Fit that will be just like having a personal trainer.
Gaming fitness is a bandwagon I can certainly jump on. Besides, if it’s good enough for Jessica, it’s good enough for me. Plus, look at her rocking those skinny jeans. Dare I say thin-spiration?
Interested? You can win a Wii on ThisNext, but there is only a few days left so act fast.
