Rihanna Reveals her Nipplegate FearsBarbadian singer Rihanna admits that she is terrified that she will fall victim to a wardrobe malfunction while performing in skimpy outfits.

The singer performed in Toronto over the weekend, and set men drooling with a skimpy dominatrix outfit with a matching umbrella.

However, she admits that she was worried that something would go wrong.

“That’s the worst thing,” the Sun quoted Rihanna, as saying.

“You have to go for fittings to make sure the stuff is pretty secure,” she added.

But she also insists that she loves dressing up in racy clothes.

“In terms of dress, that’s just the way I’m feeling at that particular moment. I’m just dressing how I feel and being more comfortable in my skin. I love dressing up. I always did, even before all this,” Rihanna she said.

Mike Myers’ The Love Guru isn’t the only film Ben Kingsley is cooking up, but this time around, it’s a little more serious. Just a smidge. Reuters has reported that the actor talked with the Times of India about his new movie, and how he will star as the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, who built the Taj Mahal. Little was said about the project, such as its name or director, but he does have his co-star — Aishwarya Rai. The Bollywood actress, who is a former Miss World and the star of The Mistress of Spices, will play the Shah’s wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Kingsley said: “I had spoken to Aishwarya last year while we were working on The Last Legion, and she very generously agreed to do the movie with me.”

It’s a pretty sad story. The emperor’s third wife, Mumtaz, died during childbirth. Granted, it was their 14th child (no, that isn’t a typo), so there’s only so much one body can take. Soon after the loss, the Taj Mahal started construction, and it was completed in 1648. Some years after its completion, he fell ill. His son, Aurangzeb led a deathly rebellion, imprisoned him, and it’s said that he spent the rest of his life looking at the Taj from his cell. Now we’ll have to wait and see if his stint as this Indian figure can rival his work on Gandhi,* which nabbed 8 Oscars.

*Thanks for the catch, scudie!

It looks like Tim Allen, otherwise known as Henry Lefay, has found his second, and err…umm… fourth wife. (This one got a repeat performance!) The Hollywood Reporter has posted that The Six Wives of Henry Lefay has finally finished its cast with Darma herself — Jenna Elfman. The movie, which started shooting in Connecticut this week, is about a man (Allen) whose wife and ex-wives fight over his will when they think that he’s dead. Elfman’s character is the “small-town diva” wife. Since they range in ages from 25 to 55, you can imagine what sorts of jokes the flick will likely use.

Elisha Cuthbert, who will play Allen’s daughter, told Cinematical about the feature back in June, and THR followed suit with most of the wives in August. They are: Andie MacDowell, Paz Vega (Spanglish), Kelli Garner (Thumbsucker), and S. Epatha Merkerson (Law & Order). Considering the fact that there’s only five, I don’t know why the flick, written and directed by Howard Michael Gould, couldn’t be called The Five Wives of Henry Lefay. Is this supposed to be funny and quirky, like that whole “Happyness” title?

Seeing that they make sure to mention that Cuthbert’s character doesn’t marry, and IMDb lists one other person on the cast — Eric Christian Olsen (The Last Kiss) — I’m thinking he’s her love interest. You know — the father is so very dysfunctional (especially if he’s only assumed to be dead) that she has to figure out if she can handle a real, long-term relationship. Or, maybe I’m wrong and he’s a gardener, a step son, or something else.

Playboy offers Pamela, Denise $1m to Pose...Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards are considering an offer to posing nude together in an upcoming issue of ‘Playboy’ magazine for which they will be paid a whopping 1 million dollars.

A source revealed to Globe that ‘Playboy’ boss Hugh Hefner wants the actresses to team up for a spread in the January 2008 issue of the publication.

“Neither Pam nor Denise has committed yet, but they’re seriously considering it,” a source told Globe.

The pair became firm friends last year in Canada when they shot mob comedy Blonde and Blonder.

Both the blondes have in the past also disrobed for the men’s magazine.

Anderson has appeared nude at a record of 12 times in Playboy whereas Richards has stripped for the December 2004 issue of the mag.

Von Teese says neuter your petsPeople for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the organization fond of standing on its moral high ground, telling everyone they’re awful for eating meat and wearing leather, has no problem using naked ladies (or mostly naked ladies) to draw attention to their cause.

In fact, I think they kind of enjoy doing it.

Days after the pro-vegetarian TV ad featuring Alicia Silverstone in her birthday suit, PETA has releasd a print at with Dita Von Teese, the model and famous burlesque performer. As you can see, the ad features Von Teese, instructing a dirty old man about why it’s important to spay and neuter your cats and dogs in a timely fashion.

I’m sure he’s very moved on the issue.

red carpet america ferrera little liy dog versionTypically after a big red carpet ceremony like the Emmy’s you see designer knockoffs — for humans. This year the knockoffs have gone to the dogs, literally to the dogs. Doggie fashion label Little Lily carries designer inspired gowns for your pooch. For $88, your dog can wear America Ferrera’s Monique Lhuillier gown. If blue is not really your dog’s color, perhaps she will look better in Katherine Heigl’s white Zac Posen gown for $120.

Honestly, I don’t get it. I am not opposed to people dressing up their pets (in fact that is the one of the reasons I want a pet), but where do you take a dog in doggie gown? Out for a night on the town or to a nice steak dinner?

It’s sick really. I still can’t figure out what bothers me more — dressing up your dog in a gown or paying $120 for that gown. I have human dresses that cost less than $120. Am I alone here? Does anyone out there think this is okay?

Radar magazine recently conducted a reader poll to determine the most overrated people, places and things. When the votes were tallied, the list was topped by none other than David and Victoria Beckham. Writer Mario Musto’s explanation was simple: David is overpaid, while Victoria is a “worthless collection of body parts.”

Other overrated “winners” in the Radar Top 100 included: cupcakes, Botox, Brad Pitt, blogging, Keira Knightley, pilates, Ronald Reagan, The Dalai Lama, Jake Gyllenhaal and Grey’s Anatomy.

My overrated list would have to include Cat Power, Jonathon Safron Foer, memory foam pillows, cowboy boots, Desperate Housewives and designer Gareth Pugh.

What do you think is overrated?

The biggest story to come out of Fashion Week in Milan isn’t Jil Sander’s new collection or Naomi Campbell’s triumphal return to the catwalk; it’s a billboard. The shocking Nolita billboard features a photograph of a 27-year-old French woman by the name of Isabella Caro. Next to her 68-pound frame, the poster reads “No Anorexia.” Though Caro is not a model, she has suffered from anorexia for 14 years.

The billboard has been endorsed by the Italian Ministry of Health. Officials claim the image promotes responsibility for the worldwide problem of anorexia.

Designers, on the other hand, feel differently. Giorgio Armani challenged the connection between anorexia and the fashion industry, saying, “Even people who take no notice of fashion get anorexic.” Dolce and Gabbana echoed that sentiment, pointing out that anorexia is a psychological ailment that has “nothing to do with fashion.”

So what do you think of this poster? Is it too much? Do you think it is fair to pin the problem of anorexia on the fashion industry?

rachel ray food networkFood Network personality, cookbook author and talk show host Rachael Ray has this thing about her booty — she hates it. Well, hate it strong word, but she does prefers to conceal it.

The size-6 cook has no desire to become a size-zero, but she does get self-conscious about her body like everyone else. Last season, on her morning talk show, her uniform included wearing a lot of Diane von Furstenberg wrap dresses (which conceal the tummy and makes for an overall thinner look.) This look was a far cry from her Food Network look that consisted of mom jeans and tucked in solid tops, which did nothing but accent her figure flaws.

For her upcoming TV season Rachael Ray’s stylist told the NY Post that she will go with flared jeans (by James Jeans), jersey tops (from Splendid), and ballet flats. Yum-o! Of course, in real life Rachael throws down in the kitchen wearing sweats, a baseball cap, and a 20-year-old jean jacket (gross.)

It’s good to hear that Rachael Ray isn’t making herself crazy with extreme diets and opts for a more sensible solution — dressing for her body. Now if she could only work on making that talk show less horrible.
