Everybody Loves Raymond star Patricia Heaton has signed with ABC to star in a pilot for a new sitcom.
The series, titled The Middle, centers on a family in the Midwest, and Heaton will play the mom. I know, that’s a really generic description. I might as well say Heaton will play a human being in a comedy that will feature humor and talking.
Ricki Lake was originally cast in the role when the show was first developed a couple of years ago, but things changed later when the network wanted Heaton in the lead role and held the show until a deal with Heaton was finalized. That means the show has been on hold since even before Heaton starred in the short-lived FOX comedy Back To You with Kelsey Grammer. A lot of people thought that show would come back for a second season since it got OK reviews and had two big names attached. But FOX canceled it and now Heaton has a new job.

(S07E19) The big question coming into the results show this week, obviously, was who would make it through to the finals. That, on its own, was probably enough to get most of the crowd to tune in. The powers that be could have just banked on it and tossed any old random segment out there to fill up the first 50 minutes of the show. Some Jimmy Kimmel here… a highlight reel there… the numbers would have still been huge. Lucky for us, that’s not what they did, at all. It was the biggest musical event the show has ever seen. Along with those big results, we saw performances from Leona Lewis, John Legend, Julianne Hough, and the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. If that wasn’t enough, reigning champ Kristi Yamaguchi stopped by to dance. It made for a fun hour. The results, and a look at all of those performances, after the jump.

good evening! now that i’ve had a couple of days to listen to britney spears new album circus (which leaked on the internet a few weeks before it’s official release on december 2nd) i’ve decided overall it’s quite decent but it does not top her last album blackout which is simply amazing (and landed in my top ten favorite albums of ‘07) but sadly it never really got promoted - since we all know ms. spears was a bit on the unstable side - her new album will sell more copies for sure - simply because of all the super heavy promotion surrounding her latest release (plus i know she’s about to announce a world tour very soon…i must see her live!) there’s also a number of bonus tracks - including one called phonography - where brit talks about her love of getting hot & heavy over the phone (didn’t she say once that her & ex-hubby kevin federline were into steamy phone chats?!?) yet when i first heard the track - i thought she was saying ‘pornography’ but once she dropped the term ‘bluetooth’ - i knew she was talking about phones - not porn - have a listen britney’s sexy phone track below for yourself! gosh - all the ladies seem to be into their phones right now - beyonce has a track on her new album called video phone! popbytes over & out for now…xoxo

good morning! oh go on and take a wild guess at who’s being featured on the cover of STAR magazine….yup - we’ve got more about brad pitt & angelina jolie and their recent feud w/ his ex-wife jennifer aniston (over the ladies’ interviews with vogue & W magazine) i seriously don’t know what else to say about the situation that i haven’t already said - basically ms. aniston will be connected to her ex mr. pitt forever - i see no signs of this story ever dying down - it’s like the ultimate gossip story of my generation (yes i know that’s quite a dramatic statement but i think it’s true) unless things somehow go awry between brad & angelina - that’s the only way jen will escape the spotlight when it comes to this drama - although initially upon a brangelina break up - she’ll have one huge tabloid hurrah! (below you’ll find a small blurb from the magazine - about why jen didn’t want to start a family with brad…) in another story we’ve got a possible pregnant jessica simpson - whether she is or not - i do not know - but holy cow - did you see those new plump lips of hers? they sure look pregnant - she needs to calm her ass down with the injections! popbytes over & out for now…xoxo
In late 2003 - before Brad started filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Angie - Brad left Jen behind while he went to a Vanity Fair party in Los Feliz, Calif. But he wasn’t alone for long. A source tells Star that Brad began chatting up a very sexy party planner, and then the two disappeared together. In fact, Jen’s best friend, Courteney Cox, even sent her husband, David Arquette, to look for Brad. When Brad finally came back to the party, “everyone was whispering about what had gone on between him and that girl.”
It was whispers like this that made Jen rethink starting a family with Brad, even though he was really pushing for it. “She held off on having kids because she wanted to wait until she was sure Brad wasn’t being unfaithful,” says the source. “But she could never regain that trust, and she just didn’t want to bring a child into that mess.” SOURCE

good evening boys & girls! oh i go up and down on rosie o’donnell all the time (ummm…not like that) sometimes i love her - sometimes i find her to be extremely annoying - but i’d say for the most part i do like rosie and find her sense of humor to be quite funny - and now curiosity has gotten the best of me when it comes to her brand new variety show rosie live which kicks off live for two hours on november 26th (the night before thanksgiving) and marks her return to television - i still wish she didn’t end up vacating her spot on the view - she definitely kept things interesting plus her fights with that truly awful woman elisabeth hasselbeck were priceless! i’m not sure what to expect - variety shows are a thing of the past - it’ll be interesting to see if ms. o’donnell can revive the format (there’s two small video teasers below) it certainly won’t be sonny & cher or carol burnett but i’d like to see what girlfriend comes up with! popbytes over & out for tonight…xoxo

good morning! i haven’t done a full post on amy winehouse since september 26th - which actually might be a record for me - that’s almost two months ago - yet sadly little has changed for ms. winehouse since then - she’s still looking like a total druggie train wreck! (her hubby blake fielder-civil is out of jail and now in rehab - but they haven’t reunited yet) girlfriend decided to step outside today after tossing her huge dirty ass hive back up on her head and proceeded to walk around right by her camden apartment in a pink jacket (along with holes in her pants and no shoelaces in her sneakers) she looks like she’s heading to high school or something but we all know that’s not the case! i’m seriously starting to forget why i fell in love with her in the first place (back to black) since she’s certainly nowhere near the point of making new music - it’s all just a shame to see her enormous talent wasted - she’s been such a mess for quite a long time - it’s like amy is past the point of no return - i’d love to see ms. winehouse get her shit together but hope is quickly fading…just look at her in the pictures below! popbytes over & out for now…xoxo

good evening! before i settle into tonight’s new episode of gossip girl - i simply couldn’t resist posting some pictures of brad pitt and angelina jolie taken tonight in london - outside a private screening of her latest flick changeling (which i still haven’t seen - shame on me - i have SO many movies to catch up on) the large picture below is so cute - angie is totally in love w/ brad - who wouldn’t be? at first i couldn’t stand that little moustache of his but now it’s actually starting to grow on me - yet once he’s done shooting quentin tarantino’s highly anticipated & buzz inducing new flick inglourious basterds - i’m sure he’ll shave it off! i just got into an argument the other day with someone about the couple - my friend is convinced they’ll split at some point - and mr. pitt will break her heart - i certainly hope that prediction doesn’t come true - i really like to think of them as having a romance that will stand the test of time - and drama! (that’s the hopeless romantic inside of me talking…) of course i have to mention jennifer aniston - after four years it’s still a requirement when talking about brangelina - i wish the whole thing would finally blow over but with jen’s recent interview with vogue coupled w/ angelina’s interview with W - fuel was just added to a fire that was starting to die down - the three of ‘em should just have some massive pay-per-view event - and hash out all of their issues and feelings - that would be a ratings a gold mine - but let’s not hold our breath! popbytes over & out for tonight…xoxo
