Freeman AgyemanFreema Agyeman will be taking one more trip in the TARDIS. Her Martha Jones character has been scheduled to appear in one of the forthcoming Doctor Who specials. Keep in mind that the source of this news is The Sun, so it should be taken with a grain of salt until there is an official BBC announcement.

My guess is they’ll be wrapping up the character, who was supposed to be a regular cast member of Torchwood, but suddenly wasn’t due to the fact that Freema moved on to other projects such as the remake of Survivors. I’m sure the fact that Torchwood season three was changed to a five episode story-arc rather than a full season didn’t help. Russell T. Davies will have to explain story-wise why Martha ended up somewhere else.

In other Doctor Who news: the New York Comic Con guests will include Colin Baker (the sixth Doctor). Also, there will be a Torchwood panel with Eve Myles.and episode director Euros Lyn.

RosieSad news for people who enjoy blogs that are typed in all lower-case letters: Rosie O’Donnell has stopped updating her blog. Oh the humanity, etc.

O’Donnell says she has stopped blogging because it “wasn’t providing the joy that it used to.” Or the Whoopi, the Sherri, the Barbara or the Elizabeth. Definitely not the Elizabeth. This all is perfectly reasonable though. Nothing Rosie has done lately (*cough* live show on NBC *cough*) has given any joy to TV viewers either, so it’s only fair that this stop bringing joy to her. But she’s not shutting down her web site. She’ll just post other things besides her opinions and thoughts and personal videos. Rosie.com now forwards to RosiesBroadwayKids.org, which is a worthwhile endeavor, so kudos to her for that.

My favorite quote from Rosie about the blogging stoppage is this: “when I started to blog, no one knew what a blog was.” Uhhhh, yeah. OK.

good morning! over the past few days i’ve been on this huge mad men kick - i finished off the first season on blu-ray over the weekend - and i was bummed to find out the 2nd season wouldn’t be available on DVD until july - i simply couldn’t wait so i took to itunes and started buying episodes for a mere $1.99 - a total bargain if you ask me! i’m about halfway through - i’m hoping to wrap up the 2nd season by saturday (i realized i watch more TV on DVD than i do movies!) thankfully the show is coming back again - they’d be stupid not to make a 3rd season - the show has been winning awards left and right - just this past weekend at the SAG awards the cast picked up the trophy for ‘outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series’ - my two favorite characters are ‘betty draper’ (played by january jones) she’s the lonely housewife who’s trying to keep herself from coming unglued at the seams - and ‘joan holloway’ (played by christina hendricks) the oh so cool office manager who keeps the sterling/cooper ad agency running like clockwork (although she’s a tad racist - each character has their flaws) the entire show is so well done - from the acting to the writing - then toss in all the 60’s costumes & settings - it’s definitely a slow burning drama - it took me a few episodes to become hooked - now i’m dying to see what happens! the early sixties was such an interesting time - so very different from now - the way guys treated girls in the office would not last for a second today - it’s almost hard to believe men were able to get away with what they did! if you’re not watching this show - i highly suggest checking it out! popbytes over & out for now…xoxo

PS of course watching hottie jon hamm as ‘don draper’ is also a huge plus - he’s so damn sexy!

oh turn around bright tight eyes! at age 58 singer bonnie tyler has less wrinkles than me! she was performing the other night over in austria at the annual veal sausage party at stanglwirt (they totally should have invited tom cruise - he loves sausages!) although she has definitely dabbled with plastic surgery - she actually looks very decent (except for that awful ill-fitting outfit) and thankfully bonnie hasn’t hit the joan rivers stage yet! i still adore ms. tyler’s two big hits from the 1980s - total eclipse of the heart (which i own on 45 vinyl) and holding out for a hero (the video is below - i don’t think i ever saw it until tonight!) her career never really took off in the states but ended up doing quite well over in europe - and bonnie is still doing her thing - i say good for her! if ms. tyler came to do a show over here - i’d be there in a hot flash! popbytes over & out for now…xoxo

PS btw - she looks like emma bunton (aka ‘baby spice’) does anyone else agree with me?

Dan Mazeau is reportedly writing a script for The Flash, although no one involved with the property would confirm it. Considering the DC-Warner Bros record so far, we shouldnt hold our breath. Also, Christopher Nolan, Jonathan Nolan and David Goyer have apparently begun their work on the script for the next Batman movie, according to a source over at IESB. No other details are available. [IESB.net]

Don’t hold your breath for Hellboy 3Guillermo del Toro says there aren’t any solid plans for a third film. “We’re three, four years away from anything happening-so I don’t think anyone is, you know, in a big hurry.” Except the fans, of course. Maybe del Toro will hand the reins over to someone else while he’s in Middle Earth? Or maybe the energetic director can film it while on his Hobbit lunch break! [MTV Splash Page]

And speaking of setbacks, Emily Blunt may not be Black Widow after all, thanks to her joining the cast of Guilliver’s Travels. Blunt’s representatives are trying to work out the schedule conflict, but Fox holds an option on her and may exercise it in order to make sure she’s in Travels. Come on, Marvel and Fox — work it out!
