good evening y’all! right now i’ve got the brand new lady gaga video for her 4th single paparazzi off her debut album the fame - it’s a bit long in my opinion (it’s like a mini-film) but i do like the overall look & feel (it was directed by jonas äkerlund) i do love me some gaga (she’s come quite far since i interviewed her last year) but at this point i think she’s a bit overexposed at the moment (her rolling stone cover is out of control - i don’t like it at all) i’m very curious about what she’ll do for her second album - then we’ll know if gaga’s a flash in the pan or not! (i’m betting she’ll be around for awhile - she just needs to work on smoothing out her annoying factor) popbytes over & out for now … xoxo

This morning, I had a really fun interview with Amy Ryan, who’s taking a little time off after a busy couple of years. During the conversation, which mostly revolved around her fantastic guest turn on The Office as Michael Scott’s soulmate Holly Flax, I had to ask her the question most Office fans have been wondering about since the season finale: Is she coming back?

Your guess is as good as hers. “They keep that (the plans for Holly) under wraps, if they are indeed thinking of it. There’s no plan there.” When I asked her if she was under contract for any episodes next season, she said she wasn’t.

What is she hoping Greg Daniels and company do with Holly in the coming years? “The viewer in me, the fan of the show, hopes that they (Michael and Holly) get together. The actor in me would love to see that there’s still conflict along the way. That’s where it’s fun.”

Freddie Prinze Jr. will be joining the cast of 24 for the eighth season as a recently-returned marine and Jack Bauer-wannabe named Davis Cole. I think this is an example of Fox either wanting to expand or continue the franchise without Kiefer Sutherland.

Think about it. Sutherland is only getting older. He can’t be Jack Bauer forever. Prinze is a younger, recognizable face (much as all of us want to forget the Scooby Doo movie franchise). This could be the set-up for one of three things: the retirement of Jack Bauer from 24, a spin-off series, or an opportunity to have more negotiating power for Kiefer Sutherland’s next contract renewal. It could even be a combination of the three.

So the question to ask is: could the series continue without Jack Bauer, or would that be the beginning of the end? Since the name of the show is 24 and not Jack Bauer, I would think so.

This E! interview with Alex O’Loughlin was recorded at the recent CBS upfront, so he talks a lot about his new medical drama Three Rivers. But the heck with that; he also talks a lot about Moonlight! He misses the show and is glad that The Sci-Fi Channel (sorry, SyFy) is showing it again.

But seriously, fans, the show is not coming back. Sorry!

I’m not sure how many people watched both Dollhouse and The Sarah Connor Chronicles, though both were on Friday nights at the end, so they probably had a lot of fans in common. If you were a fan of the latter show, this news might ease the pain of knowing that show will not be returning in the fall.

Joss Whedon tells Michael Ausiello that Summer Glau, who played Cameron on The Sarah Connor Chronicles, is going to be on Dollhouse!

I really enjoy Natalie Portman when she cuts loose and has some fun (albeit not in that Manic Pixie Dream Girl sort of way) outside of her dramatic indie fare. So color me happy that she’s just signed onto a comedy. It’s not just any comedy either, as Variety reports that she’s joined Your Highness, the medieval farce starring James Franco and Danny McBride.

As you might remember, Your Highness teams McBride and Franco back up with their Pinapple Express director, David Gordon Green. McBride (who penned the script with Ben Best) plays an arrogant, lazy prince who teams up with his brother (played by Franco) to complete a quest, save the kingdom, and Franco’s fiancee. Portman will play “a warrior princess” that McBride’s prince falls in love with. So, you know what this means — Portman will be clad in strategically placed leather and chainmail, and that sound you heard was the lustful groan of a million fanboys imagining her doing high kicks. Well played, McBride. Well played.

The film begins shooting this July in Ireland. As you wait for the first photos to emerge from production, you can start Photoshopping Xena: Warrior Princess and Red Sonja outfits on Portman, and see how close fantasy matches reality.

good evening! tonight i’ve got another busy evening - in a little while i need to pick up my good pal lisa down at the airport (after watching the lakers game) she’s on her west coast freedom tour - she’s newly single and totally free of the lame baggage that was holding her down! currently she’s living on the east coast - but is thinking about making the switch - so we’ll be running all over town - and have blast while doing it! right now i’m going to leave you with a fun ‘guess who’ - can you figure out the couple in the painting below? i’d give you a hint - but i think that might give it away (although there are nipples exposed - i figured since it’s art - i didn’t have to cover up the semi-naughty bits)
