The Minnesota State Fair sent Conan O’Brien a strange gift, and he unveiled it on The Tonight Show last night. I hope they have a lot of security there because I don’t know how that thing is going to last if they don’t. And then there’s the bacon smell over time…

Well, at the very least, maybe it will finally bring bring celebrities to the studio.

good morning everyone! so to answer my own question … i’m not ready for the end of nip/tuck but unfortunately i do think it’s time to say goodbye! the last six episodes of the series are set to air starting on october 14th over on FX (watch the new promo set to the timbaland’s beats below) this has been one of my favorite series ever however the last few seasons haven’t been all that great - at the end there will be a total of 100 episodes - a fitting number to go out on! kudos to series creator ryan murphy for six fun seasons - and i must say his new show glee on FOX is quite possibly one of the best shows ever (brand new episodes start on september 9th) i already previewed two new episodes and both were totally incredible - it’s bound to be a hit! popbytes over & out for now … xoxo

PS for some reason i got all confused … the 6th season is indeed the final one but it’s being split into two parts (19 episodes in all) 10 episodes will air starting october 14th - and the last remaining 9 episodes will air sometime next year - so we don’t technically have to say goodbye just yet … woo hoo

good evening! did everyone catch up on true blood last night?!? sadly there’s only two episodes left in the 2nd season - and i’m literally on the edge of my seat waiting to see what will transpire for ’sookie stackhouse’ and the rest of the gang! it seems like just yesterday when anna paquin won an oscar at age ten for her incredible performance alongside fellow oscar winner holly hunter in jane campion’s heartbreaking film the piano - now she’s all grown up - and is kicking some serious ass on HBO - plus she recently got engaged to her sexy co-star stephen moyer who plays ‘bill’ (he’s cute but hands down the hottest guy on the show is alexander skarsgård aka ‘eric’) the latest issue of nylon magazine is featuring ms. paquin on the cover - along with a nice spread of photos inside along with an interview which you can read on the magazine’s website! my darling pal joey has been reading the southern vampire mysteries - the series of books upon which the show is based - she promised there’s a bunch of good stuff coming down the pike - hopefully the TV series will cover all the books … we might have plenty of true blood ahead! popbytes over & out for now … xoxo

Fox has confirmed that Summer Glau is heading back to work for Firefly/Serenity creator Joss Whedon with a recurring role on Dollhouse.

Whedon told EW in May that he was writing a part for Glau, but he didn’t spill any details about her role on the show’s upcoming second season. He said he didn’t want her to play a “Doll,” because that would be too obvious. Now, after a few early reports hit the web, Fox has offered up some details about Glau’s connection to the Dollhouse.

Will she be playing a Dollhouse client? An active? A cyborg? … OK, she’s definitely not playing a cyborg this time. (At least we don’t think she is.) Head after the jump for the answer.

The plot will have David getting them together for the Seinfeld reunion that fans want to see and we’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the fictional reunion and the fictional making of that reunion, which itself will be a real reunion.

Unlike his three older brothers who all died suddenly - and tragically - the late Massachusetts senator Edward M. Kennedy knew that his final days were upon him. In the time he had left, Teddy, as he was known by friends and family, took the time to enjoy his life. That included still getting out on his boat to sail despite being wheelchair bound, as well as viewing all the James Bond movies, as well as 24 action hero Jack Bauer.

What’s really fascinating about the latter two facts is that Kennedy was clearly entertained by both Bond and Bauer, men of action who didn’t - and don’t follow the rules. Bond, for instance, is in the service of her majesty’s secret service, but he’s a spy with a license to kill.

Don Lipp passed away last Thursday at age 70. No, I didn’t recognize the name either, but as I was reading his obituary I had this incredible flashback to the mid-70s and one of the game shows he produced: The Moneymaze! (I’ve seen it spelled two ways - The Moneymaze and The Money Maze.)

I remember I was excited when it premiered, because it had this outrageously large, complex (and probably expensive) maze set. Couples would compete against other couples, and when it got to the maze part one spouse would guide the other through the maze on the way to a big money prize.
