oh no! there was a rumor the other day that amy winehouse might be reuniting with her ex-hubby blake fielder-civil - which would be a totally disastrous move - the two of them together spell nothing but trouble! amy was spotted walking around london with what appears to be an engagement ring (rumors suggest they’re getting hitched in three months) i’m hoping and praying amy comes to her senses and decides not to get involved with him again - she finally appears to be back in the land of the living (remember when she was looking like a drugged out zombie?) i fear that being with blake she’ll just slip back into old habits - which always die hard! popbytes over & out for now … xoxo

but not anymore - just look at him below - rocking his sexy ’70s pornstar chic moustache - he was hot! sadly at age 68 - he’s a total mess (unfortunately there was no aging gracefully for him) nick was spotted out in beverly hills earlier today looking more like a homeless person than a one-time celebrity (the last time i can remember him looking good was in 1991’s the prince of tides) at least he looks better today than in his infamous ‘02 mugshot - that was a total train wreck picture - stuff nightmares are made of! he was once a decent actor - i’d love to see a comeback (a la mickey rourke in the wrestler and now jeff bridges in crazy heart) but that doesn’t appear to be the cards for mr. nolte right now but there’s always wishful thinking! popbytes over & out for tonight … xoxo

PS as cabaret goes - that’s what comes from too much pills and liquor!

Victoria Beckham hates flats. Even chic, timeless ballet flats, of which she has said “Unless they’re on a ballet dancer doing ballet, I just don’t get it. I love heels.”

As a result, Beckham wears heels — that’s sky-high designer heels, mind you — everywhere. From picking up her son at school, to catching a flight at LAX.

Her devotion to fashion’s most simultaneously loved and hated accessory has helped make the super-skinny 5′4″ star a bonafied fashionista. But could her stiletto overload finally be taking a toll?

Recently, Posh raised eyebrows when she was seen returning a pair of Christian Louboutin heels at Barney’s in Beverly Hills.

The possible reason? Reports have surfaced that Beckham’s doctor advised a bunionectomy, but that the star is trying everything in her power to avoid it — from icing her feet to doing special exercises.

“A lot of women don’t stretch and flex their feet properly,” says Tina Aldatz, a certified Pedorthist and founder of Foot Petals insoles. “The reason bunions happen is when heels put too much pressure on the balls of the foot, and the fat pads between the bones get irritated.”

Aldatz recommends heel-a-holics like Posh spend 5 minutes a day doing a simple exercise: “Take a tennis ball and really roll it under the ball of each foot, left to right, stretch the toes and go back and forth.”

Miss Beckham, are you listening? Back in June of 2007, Beckham told a reporter from the UK’s Daily Mail, “Part of the reason I wear such amazing shoes is to take the eye away from my horrid feet.”

Time will tell if Beckham will have to slip into some flats once and for all.

In the mean time, check out other stiletto-lovin’ stars who could be in danger of going down the same path as Posh:

    Platform Pick
Beyonce may not be a single lady, but she still knows how to dress to get attention. These 6″ Cesare Paciotti Triple Platform heels make their mark on the red carpet. Not that Beyonce’s famously curvy 5′7″ frame needs much help getting noticed!

    Pretty Young Thing
Once again, Blake Lively gives us something to talk about. The glamorous “Gossip Girl” star looks heavenly at the 2009 Angel Ball in Christian Louboutin’s Calypso heels, created in exotic ostrich and velvet with Swarovski crystals. The sleek stiletto adds 6″ to her 5′10″ height, keeping her heads above the paparazzi.

    Tough Love
With an upcoming album in the works, Ciara takes a break from her busy schedule to snack at The Ivy in West Hollywood. Not one for jeans and a t-shirt, the 5′8″ singer steps out in a micro mini and tee and 5″ Steve Madden lace-up platform heels.

    Flynet

    Strap Happy
5′5″ Demi Moore breaks a White Party rule in some silvery 6″ Jimmy Choo Frost platform sandals. The mirrored leather platform means she can bask in her reflection — and when you look as good as she does, why wouldn’t you?

    Get the Skinny
Most stars try to stay skinny; these days, so do their heels. Diane Kruger hits the Venice Film Festival in YSL’s Divine stilettos, which boost her 5′7″ heigh another 4 inches. We give Kruger credit for managing to stay upright on the super-skinny heels!

    Booty Call
Whether they hit the ankle, calf, knee or thigh, a great pair of boots gives stars a leg up on the competition. Jennifer Lopez exudes hotness in 5″ knee high boots from Hervé Léger by Max Azria. Hopefully, the 5′6″ star doesn’t wear them while trying to balance the twins!

    Jeffrey Mayer, WireImage

    Bejeweled
Jessica Simpson wore these jeweled 4-1/2″ Dereck shoes from her namesake collection to a recent event in New York City. The petite 5′3-1/2″ star almost always wears heels to add height to her tiny frame.

    Foxy Fuchsia
“Melrose Place” star Katie Cassidy matched the logo at the Nylon magazine party in her Rock and Republic Nika studded pumps. The 4-1/2″ heels add a sense of empowerment to her 5′7″ frame, ensuring that she always gets her way — much like her character.

    All Laced Up
5′3″ Kim Kardashian was spotted at the LAX wearing these racy Sam Edelman Queenie booties with a 4″ heel. Kim was so into her new shoes that she took a picture of them on her feet and posted it on her Twitter page!

Score one for the United States!

First Lady Michelle Obama landed the top spot on French Elle’s annual best-dressed list, beating out France’s own First Lady in the ‘Political Chic’ category.

Carla Bruni Sarkozy came in second place again this year, having lost out last time to Asma Assad, the Syrian president’s wife. Elle cited Mrs. O’s support of emerging designers and her ability to make the cinched cardigan official dress as her winning style attributes.

Other winners include:

Wes Anderson (left) and his dapper doppelganger, Mr. Fox (right). Photo: Bauer-Griffin | Amanda Schwab, AP Photo/Starpix

From “Rushmore” and “The Royal Tenenbaums” to his latest film, the stop-motion Roald Dahl adaptation “Fantastic Mr. Fox,” director Wes Anderson has carved out a reputation for bringing to life some of the quirkiest and most stylized characters in cinema history.

And let’s not forget the man himself — always spiffy with a dash of eccentric in his trademark suits, made by Anderson’s longtime tailor Vahram Mateosian of New York City’s Mr. Ned. Mateosian spoke to StyleList about how he’s helped turn his famous client into a modern-day style icon.

StyleList: How did you first start working with Wes?
Vahram Mateosian: Wes started coming here in 2000. I think that a store in New York that sells suiting fabric recommended my place to him.

SL: How would you describe Wes’ signature style?
VM: Well, he definitely likes his clothes very fitted at the shoulders and waist. It ends up looking very natural on him because he’s tall and thin. It doesn’t work for everyone. And he wears a lot of corduroy, which is very comfortable. Some time ago he wore his pants a little shorter and his jacket sleeves a little shorter, but he hasn’t done that for at least five years. [Though, Mr. Fox is wearing just that in Anderson’s latest movie.]

SL: What is your favorite Wes Anderson film, and why?
VM: I like them all, but I’m biased! “The Royal Tenenbaums” is special to me because I made some of the clothes for that film. I’m proud that Wes asked me to do it, and I think that I was able to produce the styles that he had envisioned for the characters.

SL: Is it true that puppet makers working on the “Fantastic Mr. Fox” asked you for fabric swatches for the clothes they created for the film?
VM: I’ve never had contact with the puppet makers. But the rust-colored suit that the fox wears looks awfully familiar. [See above pictures.]

SL: Are there any other notable people that you have worked with?
VM: Yes — Charles Oakley [former NBA player], David Brown [producer] and others. I’ve also made a couple of things for Wes’ friend Jason Schwartzman [voice of “Ash” in “Fantastic Mr Fox”]. Really nice guy.

SL: What’s your number-one piece of advice for guys buying their first suit?
VM: Get something basic that you can wear in any situation: work, festive occasion… Usually plain navy or charcoal gray lightweight wool works best.

SL: What’s the biggest suit trend right now?
VM: Very high buttoned jackets with narrow lapels and soft shoulders with very small pads. Mostly two-button jackets. Very form-fitted trousers, as well — no pleats, thin legs.

SL: What’s the biggest suit mistake men make?
VM: Choosing a style that doesn’t fit their body type. Guys will look at a magazine and say to themselves, ‘Hey, that looks great, that’s exactly what I want.’ The models in the magazines are six feet tall and weigh 140 pounds — of course it looks great, how can it not look great?, the guy is in great shape. I can copy the style and the fabric, but most guys are not that body type. If you’re having something made, work with your tailor to get the look that’s best.

Fantastic Mr. Fox” is now playing in theaters everywhere.

(i’ll add in my thoughts later about the video … but i will say he looks hot!) overall i think adam lambert did a nice job with his first video for his single for your entertainment - somebody said on twitter earlier - it’s like a 2009 version of britney spears‘ video for i’m a slave 4 u - i can see what he meant! i do like this video a lot more than his racy performance the other night on the american music awards - i loved that adam was trying to push the envelope by being all sexed up and in your face - but the audio just didn’t sound right and he was walking around too much - i wasn’t impressed! it sucks ABC decided to pull the plug on his good morning america appearance - thankfully one network isn’t afraid to take chance … CBS booked him for the early show - all this controversy is simply adding up to more publicity for mr. lambert! as far as his album is concerned - i think it’s really strong - there’s a number of excellent tracks but as a whole i think it could have been tighter … it’s a bit all over the place yet his new single whataya want from me (written by pink / max martin) is going to do very well … it’s one of my favorite tracks! popbytes over & out for now … xoxo

At least Posh kept her receipt for a smooth return. Photos: X17online

From a distance, Victoria Beckham’s life seems pretty darn perfect.

Hot husband. Adorable, trend-setting kids. Celeb-approved clothing line.

But all that fame and fortune doesn’t mean a gal can’t have buyer’s remorse like the rest of us plebeians.

Which is why cameras snapped Beckham at Barneys in Beverly Hills — gasp! — returning a pair of Christian Louboutin heels, the Daily Mail reports.

Isn’t that what assistants are for?

No word on why the Louboutins had to go. Maybe she’s trying to cut costs. Maybe they didn’t complement her signature Hermes handbag.

Or maybe, like Barbie, her ankles are too fat for Louboutins?

Nahhhhhhh.

Check out Beckham’s jet-set style.

I had no idea that Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively spent that last dozen or so Thanksgivings with Jimmy Fallon. In this clip, we see what happened on those days and why they’re spending Thanksgiving apart this year.

I love the reaction of the audience at the start, sensing tension and humor but not really sure what’ going on.

espn_logo_redIt seems like ESPN has been around forever, doesn’t it? Can you even remember a time when there hasn’t been an ESPN to turn to for a score or breaking news or updates? I can’t. But along with the news ESPN provides, the ESPN brand has expanded to include a bunch of networks, a magazine, restaurants and lots of tchotchkes. But let’s just look at the TV shows, shall we? One note: SportsCenter is not included because it’s more of a daily news show as opposed to the programs that are more talk and game-oriented. Here’s the top ten ESPN created shows, from the worst to the first.

10. Sports Nation
This is a relatively new daily show on ESPN with radio talker Colin Cowherd and Michelle Beadle co-hosting. It’s supposedly an interactive program with surveys that include the fans, but all the bells and whistles can’t change the fact that Cowherd is an obnoxious know-it-all that dominates the conversation - when they have one. It’s new and shiny, but it’s a mess.
