good morning! i wanted to direct your attention to a new show kicking off on showtime starring one of my favorite actresses toni collette called united states of tara which premieres on january 18th (produced by steven spielberg and created / developed by diablo cody) ms. collette plays a woman living with multiple personalities (there’s some pictures below of tara’s various personalities along w/ the trailer) and her hubby is played by cutie john corbett (who played carrie’s boyfriend aiden on SATC) although having multiple personality disorder is quite a serious topic - this show looks like it brings a touch of humor to the whole thing (it’s classified as a dark comedy) thankfully i got a press screener yesterday which i plan to watch as soon as possible! i’ve been seriously itching for some good television lately - there’s like nothing on right now - ugh! at least i know pretty much anything on showtime is bound to be decent! plus we’ve got the final sixth season of the L word premiering on the very same night - i love that show and i’ll be sad to see it go but the ladies have had an incredible run! good evening y’all! i’m still laughing from this morning when the NY post’s gatecrasher posted this ridiculously delicious rumor that i can’t stop thinking about…

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony may have renewed their wedding vows a mere three months ago, but their rocky romance will likely bite the dust right after Valentine’s Day, says an insider. “Marc and Jennifer are planning on announcing their divorce right after Marc’s show at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 14,” a friend of the couple tells us. “Jennifer is planning on joining Marc onstage for a surprise duet. Things haven’t been right for a while now, and they thought it would be a bittersweet farewell.” SOURCE

i simply can’t believe jennifer lopez and marc anthony will announce the end of their four-year marriage and then sing a duet together on valentine’s day - it sounds like something out of a bad & tacky telenovela! i’d actually love to be there that night to if this shit goes down like ‘an insider’ says it will - i’ll be shocked if it actually happens! the split does seem inevitable - they’ve been plagued by split rumors for weeks now but i just can’t see ‘em announcing it on stage like that yet they’ll gain points for dramatic effect if they do (keep in mind - she did announce her pregnancy while on tour) perhaps the couple can spin this off into a musical (hopefully not like the disastrous flick el cantante) the ‘divorce duet’ would mark the end of act I - they just need to figure out what’s going to happen in act II! perhaps after the duet comes to an end the divorce gets super nasty - i wonder if they even signed a prenup agreement? i’m assuming she’ll gain custody of twins max & emme (his ex-wife dayanara torres must be loving all of this drama!)



although i was not a fan of the couple at all when they first got together - they’ve grown on me - i’m quite bummed to see it all come to an end (well, not really - it’s just the sentimental side of me talking - four years is a long ass time in hollywood) right now you can get your fill of jen & marc singing together by watching the video for no me ames posted below - it’s such a guilty pleasure song! hey hey! we’re only about a month away from the february 2nd premiere of rupaul’s drag race over on logo (produced by world of wonder) which i’m dying to see because i LOVE rupaul (supermodel of the world) there’s nobody better to host a fierce new reality show as nine drag queens picked from thousands compete to be the world’s ultimate new drag star! good morning everyone! i have a number of songs in mind when it comes to the best of 2008 (viva la vida, womanizer, just dance, single ladies, so what, heartless, american boy, into the nightlife, human, right here (departed), feedback, and lights out - to name just a few) but there’s one that sticks out from all the rest - for some strange reason i have been completely obsessed with the pussycat dolls‘ single i hate this part - i’ve played it full blast so many times while driving (and while dancing around my apartment) it’s so freakin’ good - i’m only slightly ashamed to make it my top favorite song of 2008! good evening! oh what a slow day its been - and really the only celebrity gossip going on today was football hottie tom brady supposedly asking supermodel gisele bündchen to be his bride and to be honest i really don’t care what those two do (i know one person who probably didn’t take the news so well - tom’s baby mama & former girlfriend bridget moynahan - oh it must have been nice being pregnant while your boyfriend dumps you and runs off with a filthy rich & sexy brazilian supermodel…)

…from annoying us all and making out in public! these two seriously can’t do anything without the cameras around (what’s next…his & her bowl movements? if MTV asked to film that - i’m sure they’d be oh so happy to oblige!) at least this time they were trying to do some good this past christmas eve when they volunteered to serve up some food to the needy at the los angeles mission - most guests probably had no clue who they were - i highly doubt homeless people keep up on the latest faux drama on the hills (although anything is possible in los angeles) i’m ashamed to admit that i do love the show but like i’ve said before - it’s a total guilty pleasure - just like writing about heidi & spencer - who’ve had way more than their fair share of posts up here on popbytes - they need to be banned until new episodes kick off - i’ll see if i can hold out…i’m not promising but i will try to keep the whole ’speidi’ factor down - my boyfriend was all ‘for someone who can’t stand ‘em you sure do like to write about ‘em!’

good morning! oh the day after xmas is always on the depressing side plus i actually have to go to work today which i’m totally dreading but the weekend isn’t far off at all! last night i decided to drag myself to the movies to see the curious case of benjamin button (nominated for five golden globe awards) which i had been dying to see ever since i posted the trailer back in june! although i’ll warn you it’s a bit on the long side (clocking in at like two hours & forty-five minutes) i’d definitely recommend seeing the film - i thought brad pitt & cate blanchett were both excellent (she’s gorgeous and he’s oh so sexy) plus the whole concept of someone being born old and dying young was really interesting and thought provoking - it for sure makes you think about getting older and how important it is to live in the moment! (of course i got teary eyed in a few parts) kudos to director david fincher who crafted a visually stunning & sweet film (destined to become a classic) there’s a number of great sequences in the film - there’s so much to take in - i’m still processing it all - i’d probably have to see it again (when it comes out on DVD) popbytes over & out for now…xoxo
